A CHRONIC’S CHRONIC REIVEW

Now that you know a little bit about Table Top, let’s jump in to our review.

The 28g pouch of Fuzzy Hammer I picked up was 135$ and “tested” to sit around 1.27% total terpenes and 24.2% total THC per gram.

This is a high potency product and is not intended for the canna-curios, and is more suited to experienced cannabis consumers.

First Reactions

This is a fuzzy hammer…

When I opened the pouch I was very pleased with the over all bag appeal, with nice sized buds that were covered in a soft velvety coat of trichomes. After our first encounter with this product it has become a coffee table top staple at the house. This smell that first hit me as i opened the bag was that of an earthy kush, gassy followed with subtle sweetness. As I dug my nose in more I smelt a gassy fume that reminded me of a dirty shop hammer laying in a mechanics shop, with a mild minty note.

 Appearance

The Flowers were conical and dense with a very tight calyx grouping, very iconic of its kush backgrounds. when it was hand ground it exploded with its covering of cystolithic hairs. The cure was done nicely, leaving the buds with a nice crack when you broke them open.

The trim job was very tight, leaving no sugar leaf stick out. Not that the leaf could these buds are dense.

Zooming in with a loop you can see the dense covering was a high mix of long cystolithic hairs with cloudy and amber trichomes mixed into the forest.

Cystolithic hairs (circled on the right) are non glandular, produce low amounts of cannabis compounds compared to Capitate-Stalked Trichomes seen on the left.

Session Time

This time I decided to pack a bowl for my bong. As i drew from my bong and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke. I tasted smooth menthol gassiness with some spicy notes. The smoke was smooth not making me cough too much which is nice. With using a bong some cultivars will leave me coughing on the couch for a minute, not ideal…
The feeling of euphoria hit me right over the head with this one, like a hammer hitting a nail. This left me slightly melted into the couch for a brief moment, then this small motivation boost came over me wanting to get some stuff done around the house. Though this is “how I felt” and everyone is different.

The ash burnt a light grey and was very smooth, with no grit. The bud ground nicely and lots of the trichomes and cystolithic hairs did fall off leaving a lot of kief in my hand grinder mixed with the ground bud. The humidity level in the flower was a little lower than I would prefer and that was visually noticeable in the grind. With all that said it was a very enjoyable consumption experience.

Conclusion

(AAA) - 7/10

This Table Top flower is definitely going to be return to our coffee table soon. This was overall a very pleasant experience and for all its kush heritage it still retains some of its hazy grandparents characteristics giving “ME” a nice day time buzz. I would have preferred the buds to be a little more sticky for being a heavy kush background. The cure was done well, though I like a little more moisture in the flower. The smell was spot on to its hammer genetics but I felt like the total terpenes and other compounds could have been higher. The hammer did not break my nose, it was a nice fuzzy tickle though.
